News / Locked up for milk assault
LERWICK man John Hutcheson has been jailed for the next month ahead of his trial for throwing milk at two women before threatening them with violence.
At Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday, the 25 year old denied throwing milk over the two women at an address in Lerwick’s St Olaf Street on Wednesday this week.
He also denied shouting, swearing, behaving aggressively and uttering offensive remarks while demanding illegal drugs and later returning with a hammer and screwdriver to threaten violence on the same day.
Finally Hutcheson, who lives at South Lochside, denied resisting arrest and escaping the clutches of police officers before being captured and placed in the cells on Thursday.
Hutcheson was remanded in custody where he will remain until he reappears in court for his trial on 23 June.
