News / Stand-up comedy comes to Hillswick along with Legion
OBSERVATIONAL comic Seann Walsh is playing two shows in Shetland as part of a Highlands tour in September.
The Englishman, star of BBC2’s Live at the Apollo, E4’s Virtually Famous and the Walsh on Film podcast, is returning to the stage with his all new show ‘One For the Road’.
He will perform at the Lerwick Legion on Thursday 22 and Hillswick Hall on Friday 23 September, with support from Mark Simmons.
Walsh’s other TV credits include Channel 4’s Comedy Gala live at the O2 in 2012 and 2013 as well as performances on shows including Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Celebrity Juice, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
Within two years of his first live performance, he won the Leicester Mercury comedian of the year award and other accolades have followed.
Simmons promises puns, one-liners, prop gags and “charm and idiocy in abundance” as he delivers “delightfully daft but carefully crafted jokes”.
- Tickets for the two Shetland dates go on sale at 12 noon on Thursday (12 May).
