News / £6,000 heroin seizure
A THIRTY four year old man is due to appear from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court later on Monday after he was found to be carrying heroin when disembarking from the overnight ferry at Holmsgarth on Friday morning.
Police said the man was in possession of the class A drug with a potential street value of £6,000.
Inspector Paul Daley added that intercepting and disrupting the supply of class A drugs in Shetland was an “absolute focus” for the local police force.
