News / Scam call warning
NHS Shetland has issued a warning about scam phone calls offering to sell medication to unsuspecting patients.
The health board said on Thursday it had been made aware of two patients in Shetland from a man claiming to be from the health service.
The man offered to sell drugs that would allow them to come off their prescribed tablets.
In a statement, they said: The patients have done the right thing in ignoring the calls and reporting them, but we would like to warn everyone about this so nobody is caught out by any further scam calls.”
