News / Pair charged with assault causing severe injury

TWO MEN appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with an alleged assault causing severe injury.

Twenty three year old Alistair Birse, from Forfar, and 18 year old Connor Millar were both in the dock.

Both made no plea or declaration, were committed for further examination and released on bail.

Meanwhile 34 year old Robert Finnie, from Inverness, made a second private appearance on a charge of supplying drugs.

He was committed for trial and remanded in custody.
