News / No bail for 37 year old
A THIRTY seven year old man has been remanded in custody after denying three charges at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.
Craig Nelson, of no fixed abode, was denied bail after appearing to answer a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, making threats and banging on doors and windows at an address at Scalloway’s Undirhoul on Friday.
He also denies being in possession of a kitchen knife at the same address, and maliciously smearing excrement over the walls of a cell at Lerwick Police Station later the same day.
Sheriff Arnold Duncan refused the defence’s application for bail. Nelson is set to face trial on 17 March, with an intermediate diet by video link scheduled for 1 March.
