News / Yell ferry disruptions
COMMUTERS from the north isles were facing misery on Wednesday morning after the linkspan at the Ulsta ferry terminal developed a fault.
Currently the inter-island ferry service across Yell Sound is down to one ferry carrying foot passengers only.
A spokesman for the Shetland Islands Council said that engineers were working on replacing parts in the hydraulics of the linkspan and were hopeful to get it repaired later in the day.
