News / NorthLink sailings cancelled
FERRY operator NorthLink has cancelled its sailings to and from Shetland on Saturday night as a result of adverse weather.
The northbound and southbound sailings have fallen foul to forecasted south-easterly gales and high seas.
NorthLink added that both sailings on Sunday are under review, with a “high possibility” of cancellation.
If the northbound sailing does go ahead, it will not call at Kirkwall as originally planned.
Freight vessel MV Hildasay‘s journey from Aberdeen to Kirkwall on Sunday is also under review.
