How interesting to see the Shetland Times article about SLAP awarding contracts for consultancy services to Financial Solutions for Property Ltd.
This means in effect, that Ms Groat was being paid as a director of SLAP, to pay herself consultancy fees and expenses as sole director and owner of Financial Solutions for Property Ltd.
The board of SLAP, with their ethos of openness, will now be able to tell us that through legal adherence to proper corporate governance in the best interest of their company awarded this contract for consultancy services to Financial Solutions for Property Ltd after a proper competitive tendering process, which ensured that the best interest of SLAP were met by acceptance of the lowest tender.
