TWO MEN have been kept behind bars after appearing in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court in connection with alleged drug-related offences.
Nineteen year old Larri Ian Goodlad, from Lerwick, and Campbell Howie MacDiarmid, 51, from Devon, both appeared from custody on Tuesday.
Appearing in relation to an alleged contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act, Goodlad made no plea or declaration, was committed for trial and remanded in custody.
MacDiarmid appeared on a petition alleging contravention of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act, contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act and an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea or declaration, was fully committed for trial and remanded in custody.
Meanwhile Ian Lloyd Smith, 42, from Devon, also appeared before honorary sheriff Willie Shannon in private.
He had previously appeared in connection with alleged drug offences. Smith made no plea or declaration, was committed for trial and released on bail.
