News / RSPB zombies

RSPB SHETLAND is set to host a zombie-filled night of terror next month as they fundraise in somewhat unusual style.

The organisation is holding a number of RSPZ (Royal Society for the Protection of Zombies) Fright Night Tours at Voxter on 1 November.

Attendees are told to “prepare for the most terrifying guided walk of their life” as the fictional RSPZ show off captive zombies detained after a “virus ravaged the township of Brae” in 2013.

Tours will leave Voxter House every half an hour between 7pm and 10pm, with those attending told to wear appropriate clothing for being outside at night.

The public are also warned to expect “strobe lighting, uneven ground and hungry zombies”.

The tours, which are suitable for those aged 12 or over, can be booked via Shetland Box Office.

Tickets cost £5 and people are told to arrive 20 minutes before their tour’s start time for a “safety brief”.

The zombie night is something of a stark contrast to one of the RSPB Shetland’s recent fundraising events held in September – Sunday teas in Cunningsburgh.
