News / Award for Hay’s Dock cafe

Hay's Dock Cafe Restaurant.

HAY’S DOCK Cafe Restaurant in Lerwick is featured on a list of UK eating establishments receiving the Good Food Award for 2015.

Good Food Awards are by invitation only and each year the panel hand pick selected eating establishments to join the prestigious awards programme.

The awards symbolise only the very best in their field and are recognised as the “blue ribbon for delicious dishes”.

A Shetland Amenity Trust spokeswoman said that over the past year, new menus and an additional early bird service had been introduced at Hay’s Dock to offer “additional choice to customers in terms of convenience and delicious food”.

The spokeswoman said the restaurant’s chefs take pride in sourcing the best of local produce and using this as much as possible in the dishes.

Demand for the early bird service has resulted in extended evening opening from Tuesday to Saturday during September.
