Dear Robin,

Thank you for the e-mail circulated on 31 Aug on the Shetland Learning Partnership. Attached to that e-mail was the leaflet advising that your preferred option is that the number of subjects to be studied at S4 should reduce from 7 to 6 in 2017.

You will wish to know that not one of the Chairs of Parent Councils involved in the workshops which considered this measure believe the reduction in subjects to be a sensible or reasonable policy initiative.

If you seek to implement it, it will be with our profound disquiet. You will be aware that we voiced our opposition to this at the workshops.

A copy of the foregoing goes to the Shetland Times and Shetland News.

Yours,
Paul Bendix
Chair of parent council Brae High School
