Letters / Profit the only concern

Stuart Garrett’s pathetic and disingenuous defence of the indefensible is beyond belief. Serco’s only concern is profit for its shareholders even at the expense of honesty.

This is supposed to be a lifeline service and yet a seriously ill child and his parents are left on the quay in Aberdeen three minutes after close of check in time. They regularly leave early to save fuel and increase profits. I feel sorry for the Western Isles if they have Serco imposed on them.

Let us hope that in three years time we have a decent operator, preferably Northlink Ferries limited or P&O. The latter delayed sailings on numerous occasions, to accommodate delayed passengers, even though they had shareholders. Let us be rid of Serco in three years time. SNP please note.
