News / Remanded after no-show
A LERWICK man accused of stealing bottles of alcohol from the town’s two supermarkets has been remanded in custody for missing a previous court appearance.
Iain Raymond Tulloch, of the town’s Harbour Street, was due to face an intermediate trial diet on 10 June in relation to the April shoplifting charges, which he denies.
However, the 45 year old failed to appear at Lerwick Sheriff Court on the date and in a new hearing on Wednesday, Honorary sheriff Arnold Duncan refused Tulloch bail.
He was given a new intermediate diet of 2 September and a trial diet of 3 September.
