News / Fisher trial adjourned
THE TRIAL of a man who is faced with four charges including verbally abusing a retired woman and driving whilst unfit through drink has been adjourned until early August.
Fifty nine year old Martyn Fisher, of 4 Hayhoull Place, Bigton, appeared in Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday and denies all charges placed against him.
He is accused of shouting, swearing and behaving aggressively towards neighbours on 14 March before driving whilst unfit as the result of drink or drugs.
Fisher, who is defending himself, also faces a charge of failing to give information to the police.
The Bigton man is further charged with calling a 69 year old a “Catholic cunt” at the Viking Bus Station in Lerwick on 10 September last year.
The trial was adjourned until 4 August to allow another witness to give evidence.
