News / Road death in south mainland

ONE PERSON has died following a serious accident on the A970 road at Cunningsburgh on Sunday afternoon.

Police said that a serious collision involving two cars, one of which was towing a caravan, took place at around 3.30pm. 

Motorists are being advised to expect delays, with local diversions being put in place via Aithsetter.

Police said more details will be issued once the next of kin have been informed.
