Letters / Looks like a script

It’s incredibly disappointing to read Tavish Scott’s statement with regards to Mr Carmichael’s lying antics. Every is allowed their opinion but this looks like a script.

He has focused on political spin by trying to say Carmichael is under increasing strain from no more than the SNP, Yes campaign and “mob” rule.

Well I for one couldn’t care what the SNP’s party line is on the matter. What I care about is our politicians are honest, trustworthy and represent our island in the spirit that we are famous for: hospitable, caring and friendly.

His words on “mob rule” sound like Westminster. The people are no more than a “mob” how dare they rise up. Well Tavish the people, or as you put it the “mob”, are sick and fed up with the way politicians operate in this country and until they clean up their act this is going to become more and more common.

Finally it’s very obvious Tavish is towing the party line like a good little boy. But he now must remember that they are setting a precedent. If any other MP or MSP steps out of line and he and his Lib dems cry wolf then this will come back to haunt then for every more.

Scotland never forgets.
