News / Robertson found guilty
A FIFTY seven year old Shetland man was found guilty of being involved in the supply of heroin following a three-day jury trial at Lerwick Sheriff Court.
Sentence on David Robertson, of Hill Grind, Lerwick, has been deferred until 14 May for criminal justice social work reports.
On Wednesday afternoon the jury returned the unanimous verdict that Robertson had been involved in supplying the class A drug from his home between 17 April and 15 May last year.
Acting on a tip off, Robertson was searched and arrested by police on 15 May when they found three grammes of heroin in his pocket.
A search of his home revealed that Robertson used his address as a delivery point for drug parcels for which he got a share of the heroin to feed his own habit.
