News / Cyclist injured in accident
A WOMAN cyclist who was involved in a collision with a van in the South Mainland on Wednesday morning was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
The accident happened on the A970 road at the Laxdale road junction in Cunningsburgh at around 7.30am, and the woman – who is in her 40s – was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital by ambulance.
It is anticipated she will remain in hopsital overnight for observation.
