News / AHS pupils’ parliament visit

Ceileidh Mercer, Karri Odie, Paige Buggy and Jenny Irvine attended the Inspiring Women Conference at the Scottish Parliament.

FOUR young women from the Anderson High School joined with others from across Scotland to participate in an event in Edinburgh this week. 

Paige Buggy, Jenny Irvine, Ceileidh Mercer and Karrie Odie all attended the Inspiring Young Women conference at the Scottish Parliament on Monday. 

The event, which was organised by Presiding Officer Trishia Marwick MSP, was designed to encourage young women to develop the confidence and leadership skills needed to help them to recognise their potential and fulfil it.

The four delegates from the Anderson High School were accompanied by modern studies teacher Shona Taylor.
