Alistair Carmichael (Liberal Democrats) welcomes the budget put forward by his close friends in Westminster (Budget reactions; SN, 19/03/15)  and the continuing austerity and rising structural debt in the UK.

The SNP did not.

Perhaps there is a correlation to the latter party increasing its membership by over 580 percent in the last six months in Alistair’s constituency?

Roll on 7 May.
