News / Leyland’s fitness DVD

A SHETLAND woman features in a new fitness DVD based on Scottish dancing.

Francesca Leyland stars in ‘Kelta Fit’, which is said to use upbeat Scottish music and energetic Ceilidh moves to motivate, while “helping the body to burn serious calories during low-impact high-energy dance routines”. It is suitable for any age and level of fitness.

Leyland is well known for her performing and dance teaching and said she had no hesitation when offered the chance to combine her love of Scottish music and dance to help out with the DVD – which contains six nine-minute workouts.

“I thought it was a brilliant idea when I first heard it,” she said. “The routines were fun and we had a great fun day filming it. Kelta Fit is a fantastic combination of easy-to-follow steps along with great uplifting music. We want to bring the fund of a real celidh into people’s living rooms.”
