SCOTTISH secretary Alistair Carmichael is in the Faroe Islands on Monday and Tuesday for a two-day state visit.
Carmichael, the MP for Orkney and Shetland, will be meeting with government and business representatives.
He will hold talks with the prime minister Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen, trade and industry mister Johan Dahl and fisheries minister Jacob Vestergaard.
Talks with representatives of Faroese Telecom, Atlantic Airways and Vagar Airport are also planned.
