SHETLAND’S footballers have been drawn in a group against the Isle of Wight, the Falkland Islands and Hitra at this summer’s NatWest Island Games in Jersey.

The boys in blue will be returning to island games action for the first time since 2009 this summer under the tutelage of coach Niall Bristow.

They have been drawn in Group C, one of four groups in the 16-strong men’s competition, for an event running from 27 June to 3 July.

Bristow famously guided Shetland to a footballing gold medal as the host island back in 2005.
