A 41 year old man will spend Christmas behind bars after pleading guilty to two charges of theft when appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.
Simon Edwards, of 17 Hoofields, Lerwick, admitted stealing two gifts sets from Boots, on Commercial Street, on 17 December, as well as four computer games from the Tesco supermarket, on Sunday.
Both offences were committed while Edwards was on bail.
Sentence was deferred for backgrounds reports until 21 January, and Edwards was remanded in custody.
