News / Lerwick break ins spark police hunt
LERWICK police are looking for thieves behind a series of break ins and attempted break ins overnight on Wednesday.
Damage was caused to The Red Dragon takeaway restaurant on Commercial Road, when thieves broke in and stole foodstuffs.
A house on Rudda Court had its windows smashed for the second night in a week and several commercial properties in the Gremista Industrial Estate suffered attempted break ins and associated damage.
Police believe the Gremista break ins took place between 1.45am and 2.30am on Thursday morning.
Anyone with information or who woitnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact the police on 101.
