News / Bathroom fire in Skeld

A DWELLING in Wester Skeld sustained smoke damage throughout following a fire in the bathroom of the house on Thursday morning. 

Fire fighters from Lerwick and Scalloway were alerted to the fire at 10.39am after the nearby Bixter station was unable to put a crew together.

A fire service spokeswoman said a hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.
