News / New air link not a spoof

HIGHLANDS and Islands Enterprise has moved to reassure islanders that Wednesday’s announcement of a new air link between Sumburgh and Bergen wasn’t a spoof.

The story generated a lot of interest and many Shetland News readers rightly pointed out that the Bergen Air Transport website made no mention of the new service.

On Thursday a spokeswoman for HIE said online booking would be possible as of Friday morning at www.bergenair.co.uk
