News / Brewery commended
LERWICK Brewery’s craft lager 60° North has been “highly commended” in the best drink category at this year’s Highlands and Islands Food & Drink Awards.
The tenth annual awards took place in Inverness on Friday evening, with over 40 businesses across the region in contention for the 14 awards.
Lerwick Brewery’s Scottish sales manager Alison Graham said: “Craft lager is fast becoming one of the ‘must-drink’ beers as more and more drinkers discover its depth of taste coupled with the lack of artificial fizz so redolent of many mass-market lagers.
“We’re delighted that 60° North has been recognised as one of the leaders in the field and this award [is] a great compliment to everyone on the Lerwick Brewery team. This is a great accolade and can only help our push into new markets.”
Lerwick Brewery also won a Great Taste award earlier this year.
