News / Boat broke moorings
AN OLD north east fishing boat waiting to be restored broke her moorings and was washed ashore in Scalloway harbour on Thursday night.
Southerly winds gusting up to Force 9 caused the 10 metre Fruitful to break loose and drift onto the shore near the Malakoff slipway.
Marine engineers said she suffered slight damage, but was still watertight and they managed to refloat her.
