BBC RADIO SHETLAND is to broadcast a Scottish independence referendum special on Friday morning.

Good Morning Shetland hosted by John Johnston and Jane Moncrieff will be on air from 7.30 until 8.00am.

Station manager Johnston said: “Whether you decide to stay up all night and watch the referendum results as they roll in, or wake up to find out how Shetland and the rest of the country voted tune in to 92.7FM.

“There will be reaction from both camps and mixture of live guests in the studio.

“So, get the kettle on and then join John Johnson, and Mike Grundon and Jane Moncrieff as the future unfolds.”

He added that the programme might be delayed slighty in case it coincides with the announcement of the final national result.
