Letters / Take the biscuit

Now we see the true hypocrisy of the SNP.

Vote Yes for the green policy, turn Shetland and its seas into a massive industrial wind farm.

Connect us to the grid by interconnector, destroy Kergord and Weisdale in that process.

All for good clean energy. O “Yes”, at the same time expand and exploit every ounce of North Sea oil.

The SNP and Ewing really takes the biscuit here, welcoming fracking for oil and gas under the North Sea off the coast of Shetland! Could anything be more potentially damaging to the environment? Answer me that, Bunyan, Wills and assorted SNP sycophants.

What is green and carbon free about North Sea oil and fracking? The independence policy of the SNP is financially dependent on Shetland’s energy and oil, pity it will destroy Shetland and our environment forcing many more millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere!

Reference: “Fergus Ewing, the Scottish Government’s Energy Minister, said: “We welcome this report and are interested in exploring the huge potential benefits for the oil industry and the county that it represents.
