News / Lucky escape
A DRIVER and two teenage girls had a lucky escape when their Mitsubishi pick-up overturned next to the Scord quarry around 8.45am on Friday morning.
The man and two girls aged 13 and 15 were travelling uphill past the quarry heading for Lerwick when the vehicle spun out of control and landed on its roof for no apparent reason.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene, but they managed to free themselves from the vehicle suffering no more than grazes.
