Letters / Sleepless nights
That well-known local “celebrity”, Brian Smith, seems to be somewhat nit-picking in his letter entitled (‘Coalition in pursuit of status quo’, SN 21/8/14).
Surely, when it is in the pursuit of what is right for everyone, the parties should vote in that direction rather than vote differently just for the sake of it. It would seem that Brian is having sleepless nights at the thought of his beloved Labour party mates actually agreeing with the Conservative party over something.
I can strongly recommend a big mug of Horlicks together with an hour’s reading of the Socialist Worker and he will sleep well. I haven’t tried that combination myself but it would seem to be ideal for him.
