Letters / Cloud cuckoo land

Once again, I see that Brian Smith has crawled out from under his stone to use the “Tories are toffs” stick to bleat on about the Prime Minister’s visit to Shetland (Insensitive; SN, 23/07/14)

Perhaps he should remove the sleep from his eyes, for a change, to see just how much has been achieved in the last four years towards clearing up the financial time bomb left behind by 13 years of Labour mismanagement.

Of course, Brian would much rather return to the days when Labour spent money on hundreds of thousands of totally unnecessary private sector jobs in order to keep their union paymasters sweet.

If he thinks that the Labour party did a good job with the UK economy, when last in power, then he really is in cloud cuckoo land and perhaps should remain there for the sake of his sanity.
