News / Missing man turns up

THE MAN who went missing from Gilbert Bain Hospital on Tuesday afternoon has turned back up at the hospital, police say.

The force put out an alert around 4.30pm requesting information about 21 year old Gerald Quinn amid concerns for his well being.

A number of calls from the public were received, but Quinn returned to the hospital under his own steam having gone for a walk.

Shetland area commander chief inspector Eddie Graham thanked the public for their help.
