Letters / Heaven help us

THE number of Scots dying from malnutrition while being treated in hospital has more than doubled in the last decade. (see: www.express.co.uk/news/uk/100740/Scots-are-starving-to-death-in-hospital

Douglas Young; this is food for thought in response to your letter People are starving (SN; 02/07/14).

The highest number of starvation deaths in Scotland is amongst our elderly, literally starved when in the care of the devolved NHS in hospitals.

Just look at the figures when a certain Sturgeon woman was Health Secretary for Scotland.

Heaven help us all if her team ever had independent powers in Scotland; they already are doing enough damage to the NHS.

Anyone needing emergency dental treatment in Shetland recently, will have realised that cover is almost nonexistent.

Ms Sturgeon is on record as promising six new surgery unit at Montfield, but that was before the SNP election victory, a promise then conveniently forgotten.

What a surprise! Douglas, now you know a few real facts!
