Letters / Not very nice tactics
Well done, da Nort fokk for your spirited defence of your schools (“Northmavine rallies to defend its schools“; SN, 08/05/14).
The SIC’s tactics haven’t changed.
They say they want to close two of the three schools, one of which they have no intention of closing anyway, and only after an enormous stooshie, and much feigned agony in the council chamber, they ‘compromise’ and decide to close the one they wanted to close all along.
The majority of the public then heave a huge sigh of relief that the obviously ludicrous closure, in this case, Urafirth, has been averted.
The closure of North Roe primary will then take effect without further ado.
What, you don’t think that’s very nice?
Neither do I.
