News / Sheriff refuses bail
A 24 YEAR OLD accused of threatening to stab and kill someone with a knife has been kept behind bars after appearing at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Tuesday afternoon.
Alexander Nicholson, of Bathgate, is charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, brandishing the knife and making the threats at an address in Lerwick.
He made no plea or declaration and an application for bail was rejected by honorary sheriff Erik Peterson. Nicholson was remanded in custody.
