News / Tranquility in trouble
A PETERHEAD fishing boat with six crew on board is being escorted to Kirkwall after starting to take in water east of Orkney on Monday morning.
Shetland Coastguard scrambled the Sumburgh based search and rescue helicopter 102 and launched Kirkwall lifeboat to assist the Tranquility, 20 miles off Stronsay.
The crew managed to reduce the water intake with a help from a pump transferred to the vessel by the Coastguard helicopter.
