A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after the 4×4 vehicle she was driving went off the road half a mile north of the Nibon junction in Northmavine on Monday afternoon.

The single-vehicle accident, on the road between Brae and Hillswick, was reported to police shortly after 2pm.

A police spokesman said the woman’s injuries initially appeared to be “serious but not life-threatening”. 

A passenger who was also travelling in the vehicle is believed to have suffered minor injuries following the accident.
