News / Water market day

SCOTTISH Water is to hold a “market day conference” for local contractors at Sumburgh on Wednesday.

The water company’s procurement and supply chain team will be in the islands to outline how rural firms could help deliver investment of around £360 million across Scotland between 2015 and 2021.

It is targeting contractors and specialist suppliers who are interested in tendering for work on the publicly owned company’s capital programme.

Scottish Water’s procurement specialist Lauren Strachan said presentations at the conference would “focus on a number of different supply chain requirements as well as our corporate and customer requirements”.

A timeline will be provided so interested contractors know “what to expect and when”.

Wednesday’s event takes place at Sumburgh Hotel from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Any contractors interested in more information can email: Lauren.Strachan@scottishwater.co.uk
