News / Earlier ferry departure
SEVERE gales forecast for Wednesday have resulted in NorthLink bringing tomorrow’s southbound sailing forward by two and a half hours.
The MV Hrossey was due to sail for Aberdeen, via Kirkwall, at 5.30pm on Wednesday. But due to the expectation of strong south easterly winds it will now leave at 3pm.
Meanwhile freight vessel MV Hildasay’s northbound sailing from Aberdeen will not stop at Kirkwall, and will instead sail directly to Lerwick at 5pm on Wednesday.
