News / Accident closes Black Gaet junction
THE A970 at the Black Gaet, south of Lerwick, was closed for an hour on Tuesday morning following a two-car road traffic accident.
Police later confirmed that two people were taken by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital. One has been kept in hospital with “serious but not life-threatening” injuries.
The accident happened during the morning rush hour at just before 9am. The road was reopened at around 10am.
