News / Ferry breakdown
THE FERRY service on Yell Sound has been reduced to a single vessel for the rest of Monday following a breakdown on the Daggri.
A spokesman for the SIC ferries department said shore-based engineers were now on board the vessel.
He said there was a problem with the boat’s oil pump and it was hoped the Daggri would be back in service on Tuesday.
“It should be items we have in stock, so fingers crossed it should be a quick and easy fix.”
