News / Nort boat changes
THE NORT boats continue to struggle against mountainous seas whipped up by the endless series of gales that have been battering Scotland since before Christmas.
Serco NorthLink has confirmed that Tuesday night’s ferry will again leave early to allow more time for the crossing to Aberdeen.
The Hrossey, due to leave Lerwick at 7pm will now depart two hours earlier at 5pm, but is only due to arrive in Aberdeen at 10am on Wednesday.
Her sister vessel Hjaltland meanwhile took 18 hours to reach the Granite City.
After sailing from Lerwick at 5pm on Monday, the passenger vessel was alongside at Aberdeen harbour at 11.08am on Tuesday.
