Letters / Freedom of speech

Smithy’s the chumpian of the sarcastic one liner,
No one as quick and no one who’s finer,

They’ve tried from Russia to communist China,
From New York and Texas and South Carolina.

He often constructs them at lunch in the diner.
And the one on Alistair is an absolute shiner,
But the content is that of a ten year old minor,
As we are all free to speak even Smithy the whiner.

But coming a close second is dogmatic man Bill,
With separatist dogma that makes everyone ill,
Secretary of state is a post he could not fill,
As it needs a pragmatist to wash off the swill,

Of the rhetoric and lies in the separatist’s pill.
Alistair’s remit is to do what he will,
To keep together what the separatists would kill.
By out thinking the likes of Brian and Bill.
