Congratulations to the three island leaders on winning the Local Politician of the Year award and to Alex Salmond for winning an historic third Politician of the Year award, from The Herald.

All with similar high aims of more local democracy and control for Shetland, Orkney, the Western Isles and Scotland. All well deserved.
