Letters / Well and truly blinded

Vic Thomas (Time for Independence; SN, 28/10/13) is well and truly blinded by his Anglophobia, as no one said any thing about the Grangemouth debacle being a vote against independence.

What was said was that the YESNP losing the Dunfermline seat to Labour by a 7 per cent swing was a vote against independence.

Most of the Rosyth dockworkers come from Dunfermline and independence and all the associated negatives would mean massive job losses for these Dunfermline workers.

Not only did the YESNP lose Dunfermline to Labour but they also lost two council seats to Labour on the same day.

YESNP council seats have been lost in Nicola Sturgeon’s constituency as well. This must tell the separatists firmly that Scotland does not want independence.

When you consider that Alistair Carmichael sat down with John Swinney and ended the Grangemouth debacle, it proves without a doubt that we are “Better Together”.
